Around 2005 Genevieve came up with the name MEXICAN Laundry, after a sunny hike in the Boulder hills, filled with a dream of building Mexican shirts and skirts. It became the name of her art and sewing studio. Knowing that French laundry was a French restaurant, and Chinese laundry were shoe purveyors, why not make Mexican Laundry an unexpected name for an art studio.”
