I didn't start any serious painting until the Christmas I was given a box of pastels about 10 years ago. Before that, my attempts at artwork were unsatisfying. Something about pastels connected with me and I found myself able to create effects and texture that surprise me still. I love putting light into my work in various ways and enjoy the magic created by streams of sunlight,
